i'm sorry!:)
no really i believe the 19 to be the finest in the line up of the glocks offerings, and you have a fine firearm, i am not much for glock sub compacts but they are nice, and many people as well as you i am sure will be very happy with it, that's a good combo you have there, congrats.

We carry the G22 at work. Id love to carry the 21 with 13+1 of .45! If I have to pick another glock to carry at work it will be the G35. Thats one of the smoothest .40s Ive ever shot. Accurate as all get out too! You cant go wrong with the glocks. Its fun going to combat handgun schools and watching folks with different handgun platforms shoot. Some have more issues than others. Glock folks usually have NONE. :neener:

I've had no problems with my G35 in .40 cal. I absolutely love it. I'm planning to go after the G23, 27 and 22.

After shooting the .40 cal, 9mm (IMO) feel like .22 caliber plinking.

Whoa its the return of the dead thread. Still have the Glock 19 and I'm still satisfied. The bullets might be smaller but I shoot it well and I like the fact that it's lighter. Also I like the higher ammo capacity. I now carry fifty rounds (reloads are G17 mags) which I find comforting. I don't care what all the old salts say. I like alot of bullets.

Return of a dead thread indeed.
I have since bought a second generation Model 19 to go with a Model 34 and two Model 26 pistols.
By far the 19 is my favorite all around pistol now.
I have MMC adjustable night sights on the gun and just love it.

I only own two Glocks, a G17 and a G26. I have no desire for any other Glocks, but these two might just be "perfection". I have never had a failure with either one of them

Sounds like it's time for you to get yourself a G19 and a G30 ;)

An old friend of mine is a venerable gun guru, with a collection exceeding fifty firearms of all descriptions (the count changes with shows), most of which are classic or collectable, some antique, some state of the art.

Well, life (and women) took us to other parts of the state, but when I decided I wanted to get a handgun, I emailed him for advice. The word came back--get a Glock!

I wanted a .45 ACP and selected a G21. I have large hands and long fingers, so the size was no issue. I love that thing! It's my bedside gun! And I shoot it very well! :)

When I took Judy to the range, she just loved it! I ended up buying her a G19 for Christmas, and we shot often after that. She loves her G19 and shoots it well! ;)

I later bought myself a G17 as a dedicated range gun, and it paid for itself in ammo savings alone, in one year--and it's every bit as much fun to shoot as the G21! Some 9000-rounds, and not a hiccup! But you expect that from a Glock; it's business as usual...

The three of them, G17, G19 & G21 are just excellent guns, as accurate as they are reliable, and I'd trust my life to any one of them.

But if I had to pick a favorite, it would be the G19! We have found the G19 to be a near perfect machine, and for the past two years I've been coining the phrase, Everybody Needs A G19! :D Such a pleasure to shoot! It does everything my G17 does, in a handier size! I just can't produce a bad target with that gun! :p

i guess I am a convert too. I changed over to a 1st gen G17 about 4 years ago, and I now have the G17, a second gen G19, a new 3rd G19, and my recent acquisition, an early 2nd gen G26. I guess the G19 is my gavorite, but the G26 is a really great concealed carry weapon, especially with the +2 bases.

Not a real good pic though.

I've always found the most voiciferous anti-Glockers to be those who made the mistake of spending double that for something else far less reliable, less durable much more complex to operate and then justifying it by try'ing to trash polymer perfection. 70% of law enforcement can't be wrong...

alot of people are praising the XD and M&P for having everything the glocks do, along with better ergonomics.

It'll be a while before the XD and M&P have the track record Glock has. It might even be a while before the aftermarket support catches up....

Good point!

Glock's resume is not replicated by the rivals. Maybe some day. But not today!

I just find the design to be very easy to operate. Present, point and pull. Just like the double action revolvers of ye old cop days. No complaints. Oh and it's kind of gratifying to have one of my old threads brought back. ;)

My favorite Glock is the G19. I am extremely accurate with it. My 26 gets most of the carry time because it's easier for me to conceal than the 19.

As a level one reservist I carry a Glock 17 on duty by choice, and when I do I have a back up Glock 26.
I CCW a 1911 Commander however.

i think that the glock is one of the best designed handguns in the world its up there with the 1911 in design not comparing the two as i own both but they both have such greayt accolades its hard to listen to the so called gun shop haters that have nothing good to say bout them i tell every one shot what u shoot best whatever it is use it its best to ccw what u can shoot than something u cant this is the most important factor so good luck w/ your glocks u will not be disappointed trust it with your life and it'll never let u down

I don't know if i'm a convert yet, i just bought a G20 because i wanted a 10mm and my gunshop had a new one, i'm taking it to the range tomorrow and from the way you guys talk i'll probably be selling my XD45 on monday....now i can hang out with the glock snobs at the range :)
