I have carried a Walther PPS for the last year+ I love it, it is very comfortable to carry, and very accurate. I am quiet fond of it also due to the fact that it was my first hand gun and has a little sentimental meaning. I also have a Glock 26 which I carry in my back pack or gym bag and while im out fishing or hunting. I dont find it as comfortable as the pps to carry iwb so that the main reason I chose the Walther over it for ccw. Any way my perdicement is this. I have a friend who bought a G19 RTF as his first handgun for ccw. It has night sights and I absolutely love it. However he doesnt think the world of it and wants something a little smaller and slimmer to ccw. So if you get where I am going he has submitted that we should trade. His G19RTF with night sights, for my Walther PPS. A G19 is on my list of for sure guns that I want to own, so now Im asking myself. DO I trade? Or do I save money and add my own G19 to my collection? Adding my own could be months away though and that G19 he has looks so good right now. Whats your guys feelings? Instant gratification, for something I may or may not regret down the road? Is it sacreligious to sale off your first ever handgun? Also I should point out that I have a Advantage Arms kit already from a G23 that I traded for my G26 so that adds to the equation.

Thanks Devildog. Thats kind of what I was thinking, but sometime you just need to here it from someone else

Pass.

I've owned two Glock 19s. I sold the first one and bought the second simply because I wanted very badly to like it so I gave it another try. Still couldn't do it. However, I still think the sub-compact 26 is the best Glock ever made and a great little pistol. Since you already have the 26, I'd say pass on the 19.

Your PPS is worth more than a Glock RTF and you said yourself you like it and it has sentimental value to it as well. If you still want a Glock 19 then save up for one and buy it later on. (I'd personally go with a gen 3 over a RTF)
