I guess I realized today that I'm really a rifle guy. I like all guns, and I'd still like to get a 1911 and a nice .357 revolver, but my main interest, unconsciously, have been in long guns. I'm just getting into Mosin Nagants, my dream gun is an M1A, I own a Garand , Mosin, .444 Marlin, and while I have some hand guns, I guess I just enjoy shooting the long guns more. I think it's the precision, long range challenge of it.

Any other gun people focus one way or the other?

I'm also a rifle guy, even my pistols are little rifles LOL. I'd like to get a nice shotgun, and a .357 or .44/.45 revolver. Every time I get any spare cash tho, I buy another rifle.

I'm a three-gun guy. I shoot rifles more than anything else, but still have several handguns and shotguns. I've shot handguns more this year than in a long time and enjoyed the change, but the rifles still come out more often.

This year, I bought a CZ 455, .22 WMR, a caliber I hadn't played with for many years. After tweaking it, am able to shoot 1" groups at 100 yards, using CCI A-Max ammo, though I'm disappointed in accuracy and POI variations of other brands/types of WMR ammo. That rifle has become my favorite walkabout rifle (except for deer season), since it will put down coyotes under 100 yards and about everything else that's legal. Plinking along the way is still an option with that caliber and lots of ammo can be carried. A 10-shot magazine and a couple of 5-shots are easy to carry, along with some loose rounds. Looking for empty cases isn't necessary.

Also, I recently had a very accurate .22-250, Rem 700 rebarreled to .243 Win and have shot a coyote with it, so far. It's been used by two grandsons for deer hunting this season, but none were seen. I'm really impressed with the cartridge and the re-born rifle.

GUNS=FUN!! :D

I started off collecting S&W revolvers. Something about those classic lines and blue steel, although I have several stainless now too. BTW, collection = 10. It ain't large.

Then I got into semi-auto pistols. Got a few SIG's, a 1911, etc.

Now my main kick is military surplus. Got the Finnish m/39 and I'll probably pick up a cheap M91/30 Mosin soon. I also just bought, but haven't received, a nice Swedish Mauser.

I find my interests change like the wind, but I love them all. The only thing I don't own is a shotgun.

most all of my guns are rifles and thats where my interest lies, but i find handguns more fun to shoot. if im going to a range im shooting handguns 99% of the time.

I own more handguns than rifles and shoot skeet with a few different shotguns most often. That said, rifles seem like a bargain relative to handguns these days. I bought a Moisin-Nagant from Bud's for $97 delivered, I picked up a post-'64 Winchester 1894 (with scope) on GB for $235 delivered.....pound for pound rifles seem a better buy. Unfortunately, I'm 40 minutes from the nearest outdoor rifle range and further from an indoor range, so mainly I shoot handguns inside when I'm not shooting skeet.

I think when I retire I'd like to get a place far enough out so that I can shoot on either my own property (ala Hickock45) or at a nearby range.
