Does anyone have any ideas of life expectancy of certain military guns?

AR-15
Ak-47 and replicas including the Saiga specifically
M1A
Since the AR are made out of aluminum it wouldn't seem very long right?

It also seems that the old style guns of yesterwars are infinitely rebuildable?

M1 carbine?
M1 Garand?
1903A3?
M14?
Mosin Nagant?

I'm thinking way long term

I saw an official document about 10 years ago that listed the projected life of various military weapons. The M16 series was listed as 20 years. Now, under typical garrison, peacetime use, that may well be true. However, I wouldn't expect the same rifle to last through 5 years of combat use.

A life time if you treat them properly. Keep them clean and well lubricated and you will hardly ever "out shoot" the guns mechanical parts. Barrels will be worn out over time, but a new barrel jobs are pretty cheap and will be few-and-far-between if you keep the guns clean and dry. War time...no clue..way to many variables to even guess.

A buddy of mine has an old WW2 Mosin bringback stamped 1934, if there was a definition of "rode hard and put away wet" this rifle is pictured next to my sks. it has been shot, ALOT close to 1k rounds while my friend has owned it, an unknown amount after being sporterized into a deer rifle in WV and even more as a Russian's Battle rifle in WW2. Would operate flawlessly if he would put a new spring on the button to hold the magazine floorplate in place. I dont know of any current firearm that could handle this abuse.
