I just won an auction for a new SA XD-9 with the SS slide and two hi-caps. Price was $420 shipped so I think that was a pretty good price considering the mags and SS slide. I have used blued ones with one 10rd mag sell for that!
After actually holding an XD, I decided it was much more ergonomic than the Glock. I have been wanting a Glock 19 for a while but the Xd seems like an improved Glock. I hope I did not make a mistake and regret not getting the Glock.

I tend to buy all steel autos or revovlers but I have been thinking it was time to try one of these plastic pistols again. I have had mixed feelings for plastic guns but mostly I don't like them because they feel cheap. The XD-9 is different, it really fits my hand unlike the Glock 19 which is the best fitting of all the Glocks for me. The G-19 is the least bad feeling but until the XD, I never thought that a hi-cap plastic pistol could actually feel GOOD!

Nice job. I like the ergonomics of the XD over Glocks (and the USP for that matter) too. I just have to get my hands on a CZ75 before I commit.

Owned the subcompact version. I too prefer it to a Glock for my hands and eyes. Sold it though, to go after something I thought I would like even better. I'd now say I like them equally, different but equally. I know I'll own another XD. Enjoy!

I think you'll be pleased with it. The bitone is especially swanky.

I had someone come up to me on the range the other day and ask which length XD I was shooting. He wouldn't shut up afterwards about how much he loved his 3". :)

wow, thats a great price, although prices here seem to be higher in the prny. fwiw, I just purchased a 3" to go with my 4"--love mine.

Yep, the better ergonomics, steel sights, grip safety, lower cost and life-time warranty were what sold me. Good choice in model too. :D :) :D
