...say hello. New guy here, but not new to shooting.

I'll cut right to the chase. I want a SiGARMS pistol. I own three 1911s, an XD-9, and Kel-Tek P380. I know absolutely NOTHING about SIGS. But I know I want one. I'm leaning towards the P245. Although I love my Springfield XD-9, I feel the urge to get a SIG in th 45 caliber, and a compact.

So, help me out here guys. Feed me all the info you can about SIGs, because I am more than ready to get one.

Thanks!

Sigs are Great! This would go over better on the autoloader forum. I happed to have a Sig P220 .45 for sale in the classifieds. Do a search under Pi Rob and let me know what you think.

Thanks,
Rob

I used to have a Sig P245. It worked flawlessly and was fairly accurate. The only thing I didn't like about it was how short the grip was. Barely enough to get your whole hand on it. Recoil wasn't bad and I never had any failures with it. The magazine only holds 6 rounds though.

I changed my carry piece over to a P228. The grip feels just right and capacity is 13 rounds. :D

Welcome aboard! ;) I usually recommend shooting one before you buy just to make sure you're buying the right one! ;)

No you don't. It's just a phase you're going through. Go lie down on the couch with a cool, wet cloth on your forehead and close your eyes for about twenty minutes.

Then run down to the gunstore and buy a Dan Wesson or a Colt Delta Elite. Then you'll be fine.

:cuss: I did that already. Nothing seems to work. :banghead:

Looks like I'm going to have to stop off at the gun shop after work tomorrow and give that P245 a home. :neener:
:D
