I've owned my shotgun for about 4 years now and I had shot less than 500 rounds through it. A couple years ago I came across a mec 600 reloader with primer feed at a garage sale for $50, Soon I had reloaded more rounds that I had actually shot through my gun. I thought I had many years supply loaded and was happy about that.

That all changed a little over a month ago. I found out that my school has a gun club, and every weekend they go to the trap shooting range for a few hours. I decided to go one weekend and see if it was for me. I was planning on shooting 2 rounds of 25, but ended up shooting 6 rounds.

Before I knew it, I had shot 1000 rounds though my gun in under 2 months.

I only have 100 shots left! Luckly that is all I need for try outs this weekend.

Now my next test is trying to figure out how to get my reloader set up in my apartment..

I have a MEC for my 10 gauge. I can load for about 1/2 the price of a box of steel shot for that gun, but lead shot in 12 I quite loading years ago. I can buy it at wallyworld cheaper. I'm not a serious clays shooter, though. I understand the guys that load their own to pattern better for less money. I just shoot doves with lead shot. I'm a walmart redneck, I guess.

Oh, as for apartments, I set my presses (for handgun and rifle as well as the shotgun) up on 2x12s and clamp 'em down to a Black and Decker Workmate, or rather a 15 dollar wannabe workmate that Harbor Freight sells. Clamp it in the bench, then add a C clamp to the back to keep it from kicking up on the down stroke. It works well in my bedroom. :D

I get my lead for free, so it is considerably cheaper :)

and i was thinking about mounting it to a 2x12 and clamping it to my computer desk. we'll see how it works

After a while, you'll be wanting the progressive machine where you turn out 1 round per handle pull as opposed to pulling that handle 6 times per round.............(I have both types) ;)
