I bought one from a pawn shop a few years ago for $29 because their gun expert couldn't find it in their old Blue Book
It still had the orange factory stickers on it
I gave it to my then 13 year old nephew as a first gun

Kinda looked and felt like a cheap version of a Marlin 60
But shoots as accurate and dependably as any .22 I have ever owned

I got a Savage 64 as my first .22. I've put a couple of bricks though it and it still shoots great. Although after a few hunderd rounds it gets dirty and starts to jam. When that happens I just take it apart and give it a good cleaning.

I got one four years ago. It was $95 OTD, the magazines were cheap and reliable and (at the time available) at WalMart. I put a small 3x7 20mm scope on it and low pro rings and its been a squirrel killer. I use it as a loaner rifle or when its rainy outside.

Now, the trigger isn't the best, but its better than any 10/22 out of the box. And it doesn't need anything to make it shoot.

great pics, Ithaca, and I totally agree with 22's advice here. and you can still get mags at wally world, and just about anywhere else.
