Fella's;
I'm looking for a very particular type of scope. I realize that it's probably not made, but if I don't ask there's no chance I'll find it.
I want: A silver finish A/O mil-dot scope with something around a 40mm objective lens. I'd prefer a 4-12X, but would accept anything from a fixed 6X up to the 4-12X. In other words a 2-7, 3-9, 2.5-10, etc. would be just fine. I could do with a smaller objective if the scope had less magnification too. I do want a decent exit pupil and non-critical eye placement however.
Trouble is, it seems that no manufacturer can understand why anybody would want a mil-dot reticle in a scope that isn't matte or camo. Within reason, cost is not a major consideration as long as we're not in the exotics category. I'd prefer to be under $300.00 though.
This will be used for rapid fire under highly varying wind & distance conditions. Mil-dot is a must, zero time to fuss with turrets. The color is a strong preference, I'm not much willing to compromise on that issue. After all, if there's no demand, it'll never get made. If they want my money, they gotta give me what I want. Worked with left hand bolt guns, just took a few decades.
