I say maybe because it will be my first 9mm and probably the last firearm I buy this year, well for right now, and Ive already been told it will be 450 out the door from a local dealer, with their military discount, it would be 398 from glock with their military discount, but it will be 6 to 8 weeks wait and then I would have to wait then pay the 25 dollars for the transfer, and tax. at one point I considered, trading my glock 20 for a 17 but decided against it. well 9mm is alot cheaper to shoot then my glock 20, 21, and 30. well any advice or opnions about the gen 3
glock 17.Is that price about right?

I'm a "Bask in the lustful satisfaction of having a new gun" kind of guy, I wouldn't wait 8 weeks to save $50. In a month you won't care.

I personally like all Glocks in all calibers, but I think that if you're the kind of guy who collects at all, the 17 is the definitive Glock.

For a new Glock that is a good price. I just got a LNIB G17 for about $425 when all was said and done so $450 would to me be a very dooable price!

dooable?

I think that price is very good.
Try the 19 and the 17.
If your heart is set on a Model 17, by all means buy it, you won't go wrong with a 9mm Glock.
