Most kits are in the $350 range for a bottom of the barrel kit, usually not complete either.
As no more kits are being imported, most kits will be private sales and many are looking to make the most out of the hysteria.
Imbel gear Logo receivers are still around on GB, usually in the $500 range.
Rumor has it that the guy selling them has a pallet of them.
$500 is a decent price for a GL receiver. I paid that much for mine about 3 years ago. Granted I had just sold a set of axles for $500 that I paid $250 for.
Tools to build one can get over $300 as well. Depending on what you have in the shop to begin with.
There are a lot of WECSOG methods but the proper tools makes it faster and lessens the chance of buggering it up.
When I got interested in FAL's again I used my googlefu and found this site to be a useful starting point.
http://www.sixgunsworld.com/wecsog/fal/carbine/
Then it was the falfiles from there.
Why doesn't falfiles work for you?
I see a lot of smoking deals going through the marketplace there. You have to be fast on the reply button though.
Anyone can buy a gun already assembled. I like to roll my own.
I only have one, but I have helped put 8 others together.
There are many like it but this one is mine.
If building it yourself decide on barrel length before assembling it.
If you want the barrel cut afterwards you have to find someone that can take possession and cut a barreled receiver.
Unless ya have the tools and can break it down and put it together again.
