So...Which of these two carbines is better for the money? I've seen some seemingly well-built Imbel FAL carbines for sale for $650 while the DSA STG-58 carbines go for around $1000. I know that both are built from used/surplus kits so the DSA is not a brand new U.S. made barrel, etc. What does the DSA give you that a well-built Imbel does not for $350 more, just a U.S. built receiver? I guess it is just the assurance that your rifle will run out of the box and comes with a warranty? It seems to me that a well-built Imbel carbine kit should be just as good as a DSA, am I mistaken?
