45 Colt Brass stamped: Impact

I googled it, but didn't see anything.

I ended up with a bunch of assorted 45 Colt Brass years ago when I bought some used equipment. A couple of dozen Impact brand brass were in the mix.

I kept all of the brass with the hopes of getting an SAA one day.

Well.... I finally picked one up (Reproduction), and will be loading for it soon.

Most of the Impact brass appears to be new. I knocked spent primers out of a few.

Once it's cleaned up, I'll check all of the measurements.

I'm curious if anyone knows if this stuff is a ticking time bomb or any other info.

Thanks.

3-D Investments seem to be out of Nebraska.

The second link is a video of some guy who's buddy picked up some re-man 9mm. Package labeling in bold, "3-D".

Since you will be doing the reloading, I'd try out a few light loads. But I doubt, with the 45 Colt low pressure, you would have any issues with the brass.

According to another forum, Hornady bought out 3-D's equipment. The link is dated to '07.

I have a bunch of .44 magnum brass stamped "TEXAS", thought that was odd, seems fine though.

Interesting

Thread went from "Impact" to "3 IMPACT D" to "3-D" to "TEXAS".

For what it's worth, some years ago when doing a lot of USPSA shooting, I bought 2K nickel-plated .45 ACP cases headstamped "TEXAS " from Midway. They were supposed to have been from somebody's over-run. Loaded and shot very well.

Took a bunch when my wife and I attended a class at Thunder Ranch, located at the time in ....
TEXAS. Empties were a hit with locals.
