I am curious. I am looking at a few possibilities to buy a bunch or to begin to handload seriously 7.62x54R. A question just popped in my mind. Who is the importer of the 7.62x54R surplus apam cans ammo aimsurplus, jgsales, dansammo, samca, etc sell? Is it century?

Look for Sellers & Bellot, it is brass case, boxer primed cases you can reload. Most of the cheap stuff is corrosive steal ca ca. A "plus" is the Sellers is pretty accurate too boot.

As mentioned you won't be reloading any of the Communist bloc surplus ammo that's mostly steel case and almost all is Berdan primed.

Some of the current manufactured ammo like S&B, Privi Partisan and Wolf Gold will be boxer primed and brass case so they can be reloaded. You can also get Norma brass from Midway.

Just remember it's Say's it's 7.62 (30 Cal.) however our 30 Cal. is .308 and the Russian stuff is either .311 or 312 as is the British .303 I have shot thousands of the Russian stuff. It's good stuff I just clean wit hot soapy water after shooting it. Don't let it sit even overnight. I finish up Hoppe's #9

A blast of Mpro spray also works. I keep some at the range with me and hit the bore while it's still hot, then run a brush through. Do a more complete cleaning at home within a day and you won't have rust issues.

I guess my question was lost...
If I want to buy a HUGE quantity of 7.62x54R, who is the importer I have to call to get a pallet delivered? ;-)

LOL... when you ask like that, I can only reccomend www.BATFE4me.com.
Under "delivery options", be sure to check boxes for "signature required", "border state", and "cavity search".

ETA: Ammo2Go has been great for me, but Lucky Gunner will tell you exactly how much they have in stock. Can't say as to AIM or J&G.

A friend who had a fll and a business got a pallet of 7.62x39 yugo surplus i think last year. He is gone now and i can't reach him, but it got me curious. I won't buy a pallet. I would not shoot that in a life time. But it got me curious.
