I use it in straight-walled rifle calibers like the 45-60 and 38-55 with cast bullets.

I have had outstanding results with 4198 in 45-70. The loads are strong and minimal muzzle flash in my Winchester 1886. Super fun to shoot and very accurate. 325gr Hornady FTX at 2100 fps and is about like shooting a 12 ga shotgun.
