What kind of powder is IMR 4227? I mean is it a stick, flake or ball? My manual gives powder descriptions, but for some reason it doesn't say what type IMR 4227 is. How well does it jmeter? Thanks.

IMR4227 is a short cut extruded powder that meters quite well in most measures. Rumor has it that it is being produced by ADI in Australia and now features low temperature sensitivity like some of the other H powders.

It shot well for me in a Winchester 94 in .44 Mag. It won't give the very best velocities, but it did shoot very well. I settled on AA #9 for .44 Mag and used it for years. I have recently tried N-110 and it is excellent.
