Going to try IMR XBR 8208 for first time in 5.56 with a 75 gr Hornady BTHP.After some searching only load I could find was start 20gr,max 22.7 gr. Also may try 69 gr SMK,data found was start 21gr,max 23.8 gr. Going to use once fired LC'92 brass. Reading test reports claims excellent temp. stability and stable accuracy through velocity ranges. Any input welcome, thanks.

I used it and liked it. NOw more available when I went to buyh again so I bought something else.
I metered well for me a a Lee double disk setup. Don't have great noteson it but I show I liked 24.5 witha 55 FMJ and 23 with a 62.
Hope it works well for you.

I shot my best group ever with xbr and a .223. I was using .5g below hodgdons listed max with a 55g nosler varmageddon hollow point. I fired two three shot groups under .5 inches, they were perfect clover leafs. I have not gone and verified that load again though

I'm working up a load of 8208 for a 20 inch barrel 223 with 73 gr Bergers.I think it's got great potential, has been the most accurate powder I've tried in this rifle.I haven't chronographed them yet because of the weather, but am very pleased with the accuracy,it's putting 5 shots into .5 to .7 inches at 100.I like the finer granules, but they still don't meter as well as CFE223 or BLC2.

I use Varget with 75gr BTHP in .223 but will definitely be buying some 8208 for my new Grendel. It is suppose to be the powder for heavier bullets in that round.
