Just picked up a new CZ550 Varmint in .22-250 and was wondering if IMR 4350 will work OK for the time being? I know .22-250 requires a faster buring power, though 4350 is listed, I know varget or RL-22 would be optimal. I just have a large ammout of 4350 on-hand and forgot to pick up another poweder.

Does anyone have a 4350 load that seems to work?

I was just sitting here thinking if I had tried IMR 4350 in my 22-250 or not and remembered that I handn't gotten around to it yet. I usually load Varget under 50gr V-max and am working up loads with Varget and H-380 for 55gr V-max bullets as we speak. I use 4350 for my -06 and love it but have never tried it in the -250. I know this doesn't answer your question but I thought I would ramble on a bit.

Enjoy the 22-250. I love mine.

h-380 for the 22-250.
rl-22 is way too slow.
varget/rl-15 are on the slow side, but work fine.

4350 will work for the time being, but isn't optimal and will likely sour you on the gun and cartridge out of frustration.

pick up some h-380 and some 50 or 55 grain v-max and discover happiness.

It didn't sour ME!
4350 gave excellent accuracy in my Ruger 77V .22-250. I mostly load H414 or Win 760 now for easy metering and barrel life.

Just loaded up some 55gr V-max over H-380 but haven't had an opportunity to take them out yet. I plan on getting out this weekend and trying them out.
