Hi.

I am in a real pickle. Im in desperate need of info on an old Llama revolver in .22 called a Commanche I believe.

The problem is its a very old gun that a friend of mine borrowed from someone he knows and I went over there today and while looking at it I jacked it up somehow. According to him it was misfiring at the range the day before when he and his brother took it out to shoot it. I was inspecting it unloaded and I noticed areas on the cylinders where the hammer was falling outside of the holes on the edges of the chambers. I also noticed overall everything was well worn on this gun. I assumed that maybe it was out of round or the teeth at the center of the cylinder were worn just a bit too much and were causing the hammer to miss the .22 rim by just a hair too much. When I closed the cylinder back up and went to cock the hammer to fire it in single action to feel how much play it had one more time, it jammed on me. I know I know, dry firing a gun is not good. I should have known better.

So heres my problem specifically, I was determined to get it unjammed and in my process of trying to figure out what was stuck, I somehow broke the pin that the trigger resides on while taking everything apart. What I should have done was left it alone and offered to pay for the gunsmithing services to fix what was jammed in the first place, but stupid me had to screw with it.

So Im at a crossroads, Im thinking its this particular gun.

If not, its extremely similar. I want to first try and see if this one can be fixed first, but the way things look with that pin, Im afraid it was part of the frame, I see no way it can be replaced, but then again I confirmed this evening Im not a gunsmith, I should have left things be. Even with everything removed it still would not budge, so the cylinder must be stuck on those silly worn teeth. It will not pop back out to be reloaded. So with that and the broken trigger Im looking for a replacement gun in case this young woman says that will be acceptable. Are these old Llama's worth the trouble to try and fix, or should I just be on the look out for a replacement?

Im afraid it was a sentimental thing though, I believe this gun was thier fathers and why I feel so bad about it. I should have just left it alone, but I had to take a look at it.

Anyways, if anyone knows something about old Llamas, or can point me in the right directions that would be great, that link above is the only thing I have found tonight on the web even closely resembling what I screwed up, so thats all I have to go off to tell you what it even is.

Thanks in advance for any replies or info, Im just wanting to make right somehow what I screwed up. Cost at this point is irrelevant because I should not have been so stupid, it was not mine and I want to try and make this right.
