here's what I have owned, various Ruger 22's, Browning Buckmark camper, Walther P22, S&W 22 ( not the 41 ) newest model, Sig Mosquito. I Kept the Browning and the Sig Skeeter.
The Browning has been an excellent gun, feeds most anything and is accurate and has a Beautiful trigger.
The Mosquito has fed everything 100% except CCI velocitor which stovepipes the very last round. The skeeter can shoot a ragged 5 shot hole at 50 feet using CCI SMG ( small game bullet ) done this more than once. The skeeter is a different gun than the Browning being SA/DA, having a decock as well as a safety and is basically a scaled down P series Sig.
Price wise around here I can get a new Browning for $329.00, forgot which model, while the cheapest I've seen the Sig basic skeeter is $349.00.
They really are 2 very different guns, the beauty of the Sig is you can practice double taps and double action and its like dirt cheap practice session with your centerfire Sig.
While I consider the Browning more of a target/plinker gun and its single action only.
My P22 was a jama-matic POS as was my S&W. The Rugers fed most anything but the triggers really sucked and the grip angle sucked as well. The new 22/45 may be better but for the money between a Ruger and Browning its a no brainer for me, Browning ALL the way.
