I'm going to buy a compact, concealable gun(s). I have an XD45, which is rather large and heavy. I don't know everything that's out there, but you guys do, so i don't want to miss any options.

I do want something small and light, and thin, and someting that can be carried comfortably and with minimal fuss. But I do want at least a 9mm. I have no fear of plastic. I am not considering a revolver due to size and weight issues.

I have looked at glock 19, kahr PM9. The glock is at the upper size limit of what I am looking at. The PM9 looks rather sexy actually if I can convince myself of its reliability. I have thought about P239s, but never held one and I heard that they were heavy.

I just got a Glock19 a few days ago and out of al the handguns that I have ever purchased I like the looks, feel, and accuracy of this gun better than any I have owned. I forsee it staying in my collection permantly. BTW I will be adding a 8LB trigger spring because I do dislike the light trigger, but it only cost a couple of bucks to change trigger pull in a Glock.

The Kahr PM9 is the smallest gun on Glock 26. If I had to choose, I'd go w/ the Glock because it's a tad easier to hold onto & shoot properly.

Cool, I'm making a list, then going to Buckeye Sports next week.

don't limit yourself to the polymer line up of kahr only thier k series are very nice. i have a k-40 and my dad a k-9 elite they are very nice handguns, reliable, nice sights, good trigger, defienetly compact enough. the extra weight is hardly noticable when carrying it, but a plus when shooting it.

I have a Kahr CW9 (the el cheapo P9). I carry it in a Sparks Watch Six. The ONLY reason I'd also like to have a PM9 is for the occasion I would like to front pocket carry. Otherwise, I absolutely love my CW9. I shoot it about as well as my G19, and my rig is so thin that I can carry it IWB without having to buy my jeans one size too large. I can let my belt out one hole, and slip it in, snap it and carry on. I've shot S&B, WWB, various reloads, and Corbon 115 DPX and standard Corbon out of it. The ONLY malfunction ever was a stovepipe on the very first round ever out of the gun.

On the small end, the Kel-Tec P-11 is a great, ultralight, ultrathin double stack 9mm - as a side note 13 round factory flush fit mags are available, they just aren't advertised. Kel-Tec's single stack PF-9 was just hitting dealer shelves before I deployed, so no firsthand experience, but I'd take a good look at them.

If a Glock 19 is at the upper end of the size limit then you should be looking at Commander & Officer size 1911s. Their flat & slim profile, coupled with short bbls (and shorter grip on Officers) makes an easy and comfortable carry package. There are also options from almost every major pistol maker in the Glock 19 size range. Just take a look around the shops and find somehting that fits your hands and your tastes.
