Looks like the general rule of thumb is that a 12 ga shotgun pattern size will measure about 1 inch per yard of range. In other words, about a 10 inch pattern at 10 yards; 20 inches or so at 20 yards.
My question is about these shortened AOW shotguns, say 12 inch barrel or 14 inch barrel. Does anyone know if this actually does increase the spread of the shot? Anyone could guess, but I'm hoping someone out there may have experience or know of documentation.
