Independence Ammo?

Anyone used Independence ammo in your handguns? The price is certainly right, especially in the .45acp

I put 150 rounds of their 165grn .40 S&W throught my Beretta 96 last Monday. It was good stuff, and Sportsman's Warehouse has it for a good price.

A friend and I bought some .45. I haven't used mine yet, but my friend had a number of malfs using it in his Rock Island 1911. It looks to me like the OAL is too long (I'm no expert, though).

I shot 100 rds thru a beretta 9000S,worked just fine.

Independence is cheap but it doesn't work well. As Ian said my 1911 had serious issues with the ammo. I also have two friends who have had trouble with the ammo working. One shot 200 rounds though his brand new $1200+ Springfield competition 1911 with 3 out of 10 rounds jamming. Another friend had serious jamming issues with his 1911 also when using Independence.

Grrr....sorry to hear that it was troublesome in the 1911s as that was what I had hoped to use it in. Thanks for the input everyone. I may pass on this especially since the local Dick's Sporting Goods has UMC on sale for $9.99/50

I also saw that the Miwall 9mm was very nicely priced....I may order some of that as I know my USP will take just about anything.
