Tried out the indoor Diamond Trap Range near Kankakee, IL, a mile west of I55. ATA shoots, leagues, youth, all available. My two boys took me up for my Christmas present.
Prices not bad, $35 for two rounds of trap, two boxes of factory shells.
Took one round to knock the rust off and figure out where the 1100 Trap was shooting. Ran the second round. Son one broke 24, 23 using my ancient Superposed Lightning. Probably give it to him for his birthday. Son 2 doesn't shoot much but wants to join our summer league
All in all, good value, clean, well lighted and safe. Only complaint was they weren't running 5 stand.
Oh, and almost two hour drive. Each way
Just talked at church to the secretary of our locao big ATA club. Costs for non-members for a round of trap are going to $10. Shells, when available will be at least that. So, $40 for two rouinds at home.
