Inexpenvie guns!

I have seen a lot of threads asking what are some good guns that don't cost an arm and a leg to buy. There are a lot of decent used guns that can be bought for less than $300. Here are some of mine. None of the guns in the pic cost me more than $285 OTD. Some were NIB and some were used.

In case you can't tell from the pic, here is the list and prices OTD of the guns in this pic. Some of these guns came with holsters, cleaning rods, trigger locks, and extra mag such as the CZ-52.

Kel-Tec P-32, $275
Star B, $140
Star Firestar M43, $230
CZ-52, $110
RAP 401, $235
Ruger MK-II, $250
FM Hi Power Detective, $225
Bersa 23, $175
Ruger Speed Six, $200
S&W 19, $285
Walther PP, $265

I forgot to put a few others in the photo because I didn't have them handy when I too the photo. I also have a Walther P-1 that should have been in the photo but my wife had it at the time.

Lets see your sub-$300 handguns.

Some others that I have owned that were good were: Ruger P89 $225, Ruger P95 $220, S&W 36 $191, CZ 70 $72, Charter Arms Off Duty $200, Ruger Speed Six blued $191, Ruger 22/45 $220, FEG P9R $270. All prices are OTD.

None of these guns have caused me any problems except the Kel-Tec P32 and the STAR B but the Star may just have a bad mag, I will get another mag to see if that helps. I have another list of guns that were lemons but that is another post.

There are still many good inexpesive guns out there to be had. I would like to get several more. Here is a list of some I would like to pick up someday:

Makarov
Bersa .380
FEG Hi Power Clone
Star BM
Astra A-75
Beretta 21

There are probably others but that is all I can think of right now.

You can probably find a used CZ83 for less than $300. That PP looks like
a great gun. The CZ83 is a bit bigger. You seem to be a smart shopper:)

I only have 3 Sub $300 hand guns. My Bersa Thunder 380, Ruger GP100, and S&W 681.

Bersa NIB Price $260 Out the Door
Ruger GP100 Used form Gun shop $295 out the door
S&W 681 used private Party sale $250

I wish I would have got my Ruger P95 for the price others have stated. I paid $375 Out the door for mine.

The Bersa is the ony one I have pics of currently.

My Colt 1903 only set me back $250...and IIRC, my 1860 Army replicas were a mere $120 each.

You could always look for Glocks, Sigs, H&K and Berettas used. Some of the savings are big if you can find them, and you still have a quality gun.

My least expensive gun so far (that I still own) is my S&W mod 19, $275 otd. My least espensie HK is my USP 9 at $475.

Nice collection of fine guns folks. One of my favorite guns was free.S & W Mod 10 that I inherited from a departed relative.

I'am always looking for quality handguns at bargin prices. In my small collection i've got a 28-2 $275.00,
65-3 $275.00,security six $250.00,
ruger mkII with a gold dot front sight and trigger job $199.00 and my favorite a 45 colt mountain gun, close to new condition for $359.99.You can still find good deals you just have to look for them.

The least expensive handgun in my collection is my S&W M65 3" HB. I bought it from a local cop shop used for $220, after being on the prowl for a 3" heavy barrel K-frame for more than a year.

Refinishing the gun, eliminating end shake, and having the front sight red ramped cost an additional $80, so the total cost for the gun pictured below was $300.

I really like my brand new Steyr M9 at $299 (yeah, yeah, yeah -- over $300 with shipping, and FFL fees)

I also have an AMT .380 Backup that I got for free. Not a particularly useful gun in that its tiny size really only makes it suitable for concealed carry, but its single action design and questionable safety system means I'll never carry it for fear of "blowing my bollocks off" (as they say in some parts of the world).

A couple that I haven't seen mentioned.

CZ52 - VERY big bang for the buck and lots of strange looks at the range (which is always worth a few dollars on its own :D ). $140 shipped with holster and extra mag. Add a set of replacement walnut grips from makarov.com ($35) and it becomes a good looker too. It is C&R so I even had the added benefit of having it dropped off at the front door.

HS2000 (now the Springfield XD9) - Way back when (a few years ago) these were going for right around $300. A very solid accurate pistol. My favorite 9mm to shoot.

Kel Tec P-11 - $250ish. Not my favorite 9mm to shoot but certainly my favorite to carry. With the belt clip it will attach to most anything and will essentially vanish under your belt.

The CZ-52 is mentioned and pictured. It is at the top left of my first pic and it is the 4th one down on the list.

It is a fun gun but it is not one of my favorites. I like my Firestar and my new RAP 401 the best. The Star B is a blast to shoot and may be the most fun to shoot. It looks and feels like a WWII 1911 but it shoots 9mm so it is cheap.

Just got greedy. I passed up a used Turk Cz75 on Gunbroker. It had a buy now option of $200. I was winning at $180 and I just let someone else use the buy now option. Only had 3 hours left on the auction. So stupid.

As a dyed-in-the-wool cheapskate, I only own one gun worth more than $300 (Colt 1991A1 Stainless). The rest I have been able to get at great deals thanks to a little shopping around & a lot of haggling....

Firestar 9mm--$155
Ruger KP95DC--$250
Buckmark Camper--$215
Stoeger Coach 12ga.--$250

The rest I inherited...

I keep a lookout for great deals. You can get a lot for your buck if you put a little effort into your search...:D
