About the only one that I can think of is a 30-40 Krag,,,
The US Army replaced it quickly due to it's "inferior" performance.
I inherited one that belonged to my deceased father,,,
Unfortunately it had been badly sporterized.
When my hunting mentor told me it was not a very good rifle,,,
I put it in my closet and bought something else for Oklahoma deer hunting.
I eventually gave it to my nephew as an heirloom of his grandfather,,,
He promptly put it a case and stored it in his closet.
That was in 1975 so it's been 45 years ago,,,
His wife said he has never taken it out of the closet.
I wish it wasn't considered bad form to ask for it back,,,
I would love to have it just to fire a few range rounds a year.
I always thought that side-loading thing was way cool.
