Info on german sniper scope 8x Zeiss ZIELACHT

Hi lads, I have purchased this scope , it was made in 1922 by Ziess, im using it for my new K98 sniper project (K98 is a Bnz 4)

I have seen old threads on the internet that are now out of date, of info on these scopes with some people quoting that they have seen old pictures of germans using this scope, I know it was not common for them to use the 8 power, however I have been told that they were used with the "counter snipers" , do any of you hard working blokes have an refernces or oppinions on this scope or any links to these old pictures ?

I have looked in the Sniper variations book but only mentions 4x

Thats strange, a guy on the gk43 forums after I gave him the serial number said 1922/23, he has a book of all the dates ranges ?

I dont know whats correct ?

he says
"thanks for the pics your scope was made in 1922/23 your scope is 1 of the 104 made that year. your range 100-800 meters. you have the Nimrod reticule. i hope this helps"

Different references. Possible it was made for the military before being sold on the civilian market during the dates I mentioned.
