A retired friend of mine is in need of funds he has an Inglis Hipower number 2 Mk1 he needs to sell. Was wanting to get a baseline value. It is numbers matching. No xxx etched numbers. Has import markings.
I don't know condition, but I'd venture at least $400. Import markings hurts value a little bit. Is it parkerized or does it have thick heavy paint? (suncorite)
Sorry on the pics guys it says they are "in progress". I can see them guess they have to be scanned to make sure i am not being malicious.
Kentucky Smith - sadly the gentleman told me that "it had some thick Nasty coating on it and he had a smith remove it" I have an L1A1 with suncorite over park and knew exactly what it was, wish he would have showed it to me sooner. So it is now just parkerized.
could I interject and ask for a price guestimate of a used early 80's highpower (82). Adjustable sights, decent conditions (internals are probably fine, finish wear near the muzzle from holstering and patina) with adjustable sights. Sorry to hi jack! I love hi powers and have always wanted to get one (my father had one and I loved it)
Yes it does.
Mine was factory thorough repaired in 1962 at Enfield Arsenal in Britain and placed in storage.
I obtained the gun in 1989.
The gun came with two magazines which are FN, not Inglis, and a brass or bronze cleaning rod.
I have fired about 1000 rounds through the gun since obtaining it.
It functions flawlessly and is quite accurate.
