A frined of mine suggesed Inlaying the groved sights on one of my pistols.
Like gold inlaying on lettering but instead a single narrow strip in one of the grooves of target style sights, both the rear blad and top front post. It sounds like a good idea and I realy like the sights but against a dark back ground its hard to pick up the front sight post. Has anyone seen or tryed this. Suggestions/coments? Thanks

A good discussion of types of sights can be found in Elmer Keith's 'Sixguns". He shows inlayed front sights both a vertical and horizontal lines. I have the vertical on a rifle with patridge sights and it helps in the shadows. The horizontal lines are for indexing for long range shooting.
