Inside America's Gun Culture

How about a title that does not marginalize gun owners. Here is a suggestion,"Inside AMERICAN Culture"

SsevenN wrote,"Yeah, this is going to be one biased TV episode.

Look at their 'recreation' picture."

You got that right! Let's not forget the anti line of how guns are such a danger to children. When they do their statistics on the number of "children" shot what they don't tell you is that they include gangbangers that are under 18.

because it's like a bacteria culture in a petri dish---we have to study this phenomenon!!!

Study, observe, catalog, it's the ivory tower way, my brother.

As in the discovery of Penicillin, the other killer of nasties.

On Houston Comcast its channel 81, two explorer shows "Marihuana Nation" & "Guns in America"

Start a 8 PM tonight and repeat at 11PM

When that Philly cop was saying "I guess you need a gun to feel like a man, what happened to the day when people used their fists?" I was thinking to myself, "yeah, how about you fight with your fists, why do you need a gun tough man?"

I third it & I have only watched 2 minutes.

It is on again at 1:00 am EST, I set the tivo & will watch from the begining.

BTW the show is called EXPLORER, then read the description to have the correct one.

Best line so far:

"If his cache of weapons ever gets stolen, it could end up in the hands of criminals"

What?

If his guns get stolen THEY WILL BE IN THE HANDS OF CRIMINALS!!

Anyways, looks decisively negative from what I have seen so far... too bad.

Another description of what an "assault weapon" is. According to the report it is a firearm that shoots as fast as the shooter can pull the trigger. Does that not make both revolvers and pistols, and semi-auto long guns into a group now? Kinda misguided in the direction they are going for a public network.

The Castle Doctrine for the State of Vermont is only for protection of self and family, not for property. If you are in fear for your life,
not that someone is stealing your stuff. My guess is that they got that one wrong also.

Yeah, this is going to be one biased TV episode.

Look at their 'recreation' picture.

It would be more accurate if he was using a lorcin, but not as shocking.

How'd they get a picture of me deer hunting?

Watching it now, it feels like it's going to be 96% anti gun or 'Why do you need that TYPE of gun!?!' (Afterall, when they started talking about Assault Rifles they showed a kel-tec Sub-2000) With a few 'exceptions' where they're good or responsible gun owners thrown in, just to make it sound unbiased, but hey, we'll see by the end.

If they have someone actually espousing such an unbelievably stupid, illogical, hypocritical, moronic viewpoint, without it being challenged in any way or countered by any common sense, then it amounts to anti propaganda as far as I'm concerned.

Propaganda is just as much about what is not said as it is about what IS said.

Johnny Dollar:

Anti-gun,anti freedom since 1888 and counting.

Believe it or not, there was a time when Colt advertised in the National Geographic back in the 1920's and 30's.

Those days are gone of course.

Holy sh*t did they really say that?

That's insane. We should seriously organize a letter writing campaign to NG. I think it would be a great idea. They're just the right kind of organization for us to practice activism on.

Thde last segment wasnt so bad. They showed the Joe Horn stuff. I think they are leading up to the "everyone wants guns to protect themsleves" angle. Then they will tell us we dont need guns to protect us.
