Hello friends and neighbors // I think those two types are on every forum I frequent.
I love the 1000 yard sniper style shooting craze.
Both my Whitetail were taken within 100 yards this year. I don't think I could spot one (let alone try a shot at one) 1000 yards out, especially here in S.C. brush country.
I agree with the statement, "get a .22 and practice a lot", it sounds like this might be the answer to almost every question I'm asked.
I don't know that you guys should be mocking the questioner in those videos. That's knowledge we can use.
Before seeing those YouTube videos, I was completely unaware that I was completely defenseless with only my CMP Garand, my .30-06 bolt action, my semi-automatic Marlin .22 or my Security Six revolver.
Not a "black" gun in the bunch. Nor do any of them have a pistol grip, except the revolver. Those videos on YT may well have saved my life when, you know, the SHTF.
I was thinking about these videos... and the flip-side. The flip-side being the way new members are sometimes browbeaten by gun snobs with nothing more than high post counts. I went looking, and sure enough there are a couple new videos that come close. They aren't quite what I was looking for because the newb is not the meek and humble, innocent type I was thinking about, but the snob just about hit the nail on the head. Close, but not quite what I was thinking.
These are not G rated (language). Not suitable for work.
Moderator note: These vids are funny, but they are full of non-High Road material. Please be mindful of that when you're quoting your favorite lines. Thanks!
