Inspecting and test firing a MK760

I will be inspecting and test firing an early Irving CA (3 digit) S series for condition and wear points and test firing it. I think I know exactly what to look for as far as wear (from Scott Andrey's site), but how much ammo and of what types should I put through it to convince myself that it runs well.

I take it I should make sure SA doesn't double after a couple busts of FA and vice versa. Anything else I should look out for when test-firing?
