You could say I was inspired by @Riomouse911 when I saw this model 14-4 at the LGS today.
It's in excellent condition, but I definitely checked the barrel out extra carefully. The clerk probably thought I was weird the way I was running my fingers up and down that beautiful blue 6 inch barrel over and over again. Lol
Anyways it is a beauty.
Adjustable sights, pinned barrel, nice lock up and cylinder gap. Excellent bluing with just a few very light handling marks. Grips are beautiful.
I shined it up with some Lucas gun metal polish for the pics.
Range report soon I hope.

BTW do you have a matching model 17?

I do.

I am fortunate to own a few rimfire S&W’s, a .22 LR 6” Model 17-3, a 4” Model 18-4, a 6” Model 48-4 in .22 WMR, a 4” Model 34 and a 3” Model 317.

The M-17 was allegedly owned by a female bullseye shooter of some fame who lived here in So Cal, but her name escapes me. This was her practice gun, it’s as smooth as glass DA and SA. Her 6” Model 14 was also in the case on consignment, but I couldn’t swing both so I went for the rimfire.:)

The top two are a Taurus 941 8-shot .22WMR and a Taurus 94 9-shot .22 LR. These two were my first rimfire revolvers and despite pretty heavy trigger pulls, they got me hooked on them.

Stay safe.

Bought in the early to mid 1990s. It's actually a K-22 from 1952 and it will stay in the family. Those grips came with the gun and are rarely ever on it.

I shot the S&W Parker Hale conversion this morning and have to change those original grips to something more ergonomical but the sights are great. It also will need some attention to fire reliably in double action but for some reason I like this gun and no effort will be spared to bring out the best out of it.

Nice Model 14.

My Model 14-3's in 6" and 8-3/8" barrels

There is something special shooting 38 Special ammunition in a gun chambered for 38 Special.

So I made it to the range with the 14-4.
THIS REVOLVER IS SWEET!!!!
I didn't take pics of my targets because I'm not the best handgun shooter around, but this gun makes me look pretty good.
I shot at 7 and 10 yards and when I did everything I'm supposed to most of the shots were inside the 2 inch orange circle I stuck on the target. Even when I missed the circle, it wasn't by much.
Double action is smooth as butter and single action is just WOW!
I'll have to measure them with my cheap RCBS trigger gauge.
Now I need to fire up the 550 and crank out some .38 special.
