I know that's quite a title. I'm wanting it to be as small as possible because I'm a noob and I think it would be cool. I got two of the IFLR's under MSRP and right now there is a cryhavoc for $300. I kinda really want to do it on a 458 SBR. Any thoughts, concerns, advice, insults? I can handle being told I'm an idiot.

I am curious myself about the folding lowers. Seems like a great idea if the latch is high quality like the law tactical folder I got to play with. And I have a 458 SOCOM 8" barrel for my SBR, it's awesome. 300 blackout is pretty fun too for a short one.

Not familiar with the way the havoc quick release works, but if your brace or stock will sit flush with the end of there system it could be very cool. Take pictures and keep us posted!

given that those folding stocks have a small safety to keep the bolt locked up if folded, and the 458 will put around 15X the momentum on it that it was designed for, and the manufacturers say not to make a habit of it at all, I would avoid using it in the folded position. I would get an adjustable gas block too. Other than that, sounds fun. Get set up to reload if you haven't yet.

Sounds pretty cool. I'd like to see you build it then tell us how it worked. It is not something I would do because It sounds like to many ways to go wrong. But that's just me.

So after talking to a bunch of guys I served with and some other buddies, I backed down and I'm going with a 300 instead. I'm not ready to start reloading yet and now isn't really the time to do that anyway. When everything finally comes in and I get it assembled I'll throw up some pictures.
