Howdy all I was just looking around and trying to find if there are any firearms out there with a full length interchangeable barrels that fires shotgun shells and rifle rounds.

I have been looking at the single shot guns that you can change barrels on but so far it seems that you either have to choose rifle platform with different caliber barrels or a shotgun platform with different gauge barrels.

Are there any that have barrels for both?

Thompson Center Encore.
Buy the gun with a barrel. Buy extra barrels (available chambered for a vast number of cartridges. Available in 12 ga, and 20 gauge).... shotgun or rifle fit the same frame..... change out is a few moments.

While not exactly what you're looking for, look into the Savage 24. They are single shot over unders, shotgun barrel on the bottom, and rimfire or centerfire barrel on top. Many different configurations, I have a .22LR/20ga. Great woods gun.

Mossberg SSI one

It had a very short production life but they were very good looking rifles/shotguns. There are four with rifle barrels for sale on Gun Broker right now. I usually see them in the local shops with shotgun barrels for around $400. They seem very well made to me but I have never shot one. The TC is probably the nicest of all but you will pay for it.

I have several of the H&R 1871 "SB 2" versions of the interchangeable barrel single shots as well as several older ones. You can buy a correctly serial numbered receiver with a barrel and then add new inexpensive barrels for the SB 2 in many popular rifle, pistol, and shotgun calibers today. I have a 12 GA rifled slug barrel, several other shotgun barrels, 22 Hornet to 3006 barrels, and even a 500 S&W barrel. You can look up the barrel program for available calibers at their web site. They have a better fit and finish than the Rossi examples IMHO. FWIW I also own half a dozen savage 24 doubles.

I've got a Rossi youth combo, .22lr/.410 that does what it's supposed to without costing an arm and leg. My father owns the TC Encore Pro Hunter with .300 Win Mag, .223 Rem and .50 cal BP barrels. The TC is a runaway in terms of quality and finish but I truly dislike the trigger on it. Pull weight is fine, it's the odd angle and shape that keeps me from owning one. Best to try them out.

The Tikka 412/512 guns have interchangeable barrels. I have a 412s that I use for trap an it is really well made. If I over come across a 308 barrel set, I'd scoop it up.
