An acquaintance is in the business of buying storage units and such at auction, and gets lots of interesting things through his household as a result, including firearms. At the moment, he has two Intercontinental Arms Dakota revolvers in six- and eight-inch barrel lengths, .357 Mag, which he is offering to sell me for $250 and $299, or $450 for both. I imagine I can talk him down a bit.

My concern is with the .357 Mag being a high-pressure load, and these wheelguns being of unknown quality. They're Italian imports made by a company starting with a P (no, not Pietta).

Can anyone tell me if these are quality guns, and safe to fire modern commercial .357 Mag through? For $225, I'm sure I could eventually find a Ruger or S&W somewhere, but it'd take a while...

Via Google, Skeeter Skelton gave his approval of 'em here, so they can't be all bad, right? :D
