I was at a LGS recently and came across a different Remington Model Seven. It was chambered in .300 Blackout, had a synthetic stock with and adjustable check rest, a 16"-18" barrel (I didn't measure it but it was definately shorter than 20") and the muzzle was threaded for attachments. I thought it was new, but I can find nothing like it on Remington's website. Was this a custom rifle? I honestly haven't looked at Sevens in about 5-6 years and don't know what is currently being offered in that line. I thought it would make a neat toy in .223/5.56, as .300 is to new a cartridge for me to invest in a gun for it yet. (anyone need a .41AE?)
What was I looking at?

Designed for lobbbing subsonic pumpkin balls thru a suppressor.

What other caliber would be better?
