The new one is a 1.25-8x32mm. CQB at 1.25 all the way to a pretty decent view at 100 or more with 8 power:

And this one does NOT have the side focus, which is a bonus in my (KISS) book!
This one would be good for a lot of different kinds of rifles, from rimfires on up. Pretty much the perfect hunting scope for woodsy areas, espec. with the Rainguard coating. Good scope for fighting rifles, big boomers, anything but long range rifles. It also claims an eye relief of 6 inches!! Save up, kiddos.
Between the Elite 6500s and the incredible Nikon Omega/Slughunter scopes, we're truly living in the golden age of rifle scopes, it seems. The beginning of it anyways.
