Wonder if anyone happened to take the offending weapon apart and inspect these "damaged parts" before handing over that truckload of money.

A good tort lawyer could get a jury to convict a ham sandwich of murdering Mama Cass ... lets see what the appeal does. Fat lady ain't sung yet.

That is the Taurus that has the semi-defective safety in the first place. I hated that gun but in a way I am jealouse mine didn't shoot me! I could buy a lot more guns with that money.

YOU may not have been as good (lucky) a shot !

I predicted this when I first heard of the issue with the 24/7 Pro where if the trigger is "taken up" and then the safety applied, the trigger will not return fully forward and the gun will fire if the trigger is pulled even though the safety is on!

Unless there were witnesses to the contrary, I'd wager the dropped gun discharged when he tried to "catch it" as it fell. It why Glocks lead the league in firing when "dropped".

Go to: http://loadmastervideos.com/ and check out his story on the "Negligent Discharge Zone" sidebar. I'd not go through this for 1.5 million.

Yup, saw a video link to it here somewhere.

how can a person be given that much money if they knowing used a weapon that someone on an internet website claimed was defective? Didnt he have that much common sense?

Ive read on taurus forums that certainsemi auto models can do funny things if someone is dumb enough to put plastic removing solvent in the fire control group. wonder how much "basement gunsmithing" played a part in his accident.

well I"ve had two PT-111s and have not had any problems with either of them.....

I guess it may have something to do with the fact that I don't make a practice of partially pulling the trigger whenever I flip the safety on.....
