Just picked up a great older BHP. Figured I would have to buy a new IWB holster. I discovered my Milt Sparks Summer Special 2 (made for my 5" 1911) fits my Hi Power VERY well. So I bought some thin Micarta grips instead.

I just thought I was going to save some money.

The thin slide profile of the hi-power makes it easy to fit in the 1911 holster, but what may be lacking is retention.

Spend the money and get a holster that properly holds the gun just in case you have to bend over really far. You'd hate it when your hi-power bounces off of a concrete floor.

Almost every holster made for a 5 inch Govt model 1911 with fit BHP, even those with retention screws and fit it well. If you are on a budget it's good to know.

Many/most of the bulk holster manufacturers discovered this long ago. I bought a Bianchi professional IWB for my Kimber TLE and the label on the package said the BHP was an also fit. Same thing with Hume holsters. And Galco. The custom guys will make them gun specific......so tight for the HP that you won't get a Government in it (you'll barely be able to get the HP in it when new).
