Interstate firearms transfer

i have a question regaurding state to state firearms transfer, this case in particular though would be a california to nevada transfer, and the gun in question is classified as an "assault weapon" it was however purchased prior to the AWB in ca. and being a former ca resident, i know that they cant be sold or transfered within the state. just wondering if anyone has any experience with a preban AW being transfered from ca to their state, if it is possible, or not at all. thanks.
