I'm just a little confused regarding the transfer of a handgun interstate. My wife's grandfather died earlier this year and her parents are the current legal owner of his firearms. They wanted to give the handguns to their son and daughter. The son is in the same state (MD) but the daughter lives in PA. My understanding is that any handgun transfer will have to be accompanied by the federal "yellow" form to be filed by a FFL here in PA.
My question is, can her parents just bring the handguns with them from MD when they come up to visit and do the transfer, or do they need to be shipped from a FFL in MD to an FFL her in PA. Also can anyone recommend a dealer in the middle of the state that wold do the paperwork relatively cheaply as there are quite a few guns involved.
Thanks
