I have used the 2506 for black bear,elk,moose and deer.
I use the Nosler 120grain partition, and a worked up load of Reloader25.
26" barrel, and it shoots sub MOA. It kills all those game animals effectively/consistantly.
Love the caliber! Its not for everyone, but it is fine for me.
With that said, I use others more now, just to try/learn about new cartridges.
