I bought my two sons, 9 and 12, ruger 10/22's this x-mass for their first real firearms that they can call their own. also got em the carbon stocks and scopes and banana clips and bipods, they love shooting my Ar's so thats as close they are gunna get till graduation.

That's a pretty wood grain on the Marlin 60. Maybe I can liberate my dad's... brings back memories.

It is! I thought it was laminate when I looked at it on the display. When I got it home and broke it down I realized its not laminate and that pleased me. It really is an attractive peice of hardware. Her name is now "Laurie" after my girlfriend.
