Iosso Case Cleaner ?

I am considering buying Iosso case cleaner. I have been told that it does not throughly clean primer pockets. I have one thousand 45 ACP cases and I would like to have the primer pockets clean. I don't want to manually clean each pocket with a primer pocket cleaner. How good a job does Iosso Cleaner do ? Thanks Norman

You will manually have to clean the media out of the pocket and flash hole if you clean a decapped casing.No free lunch.

I used to use Iosso, but now use a homebrew solution that is cheaper and works better. I found the recipe here:

In one gallon milk jug add the following

1 ounce laundry detergent
1 cup lemon juice
1 quart white vinigar
top off with water

You use it just like you would Iosso and the cases come out clean.

I bought the iosso kit and it has worked well for me. Its cheap, quiet, and gets cases almost as clean as normal tumbler media. It dose not clean the primer pocket but then again, neither dose my tumbler. Iosso quickly strips powder residue from brass.

I tried Iosso and it does work, does indeed leave residue in the primer pocket. The residue cleans out easily with a Qtip. I would advise using protective gloves to minimize skin contact. Iosso will also provide an MSDS on request. I bought a tumbler after using Iosso, and I like the tumbler better. Just add brass, turn on, and while you wait for the machine to do the work...Surf THR!
