Public or private, where do you Iowa residents or visitors shoot handgun and rifle (and maybe shotgun) out to 100 yards, within 50 miles of Des Moines? I know about the Olofson range, and the Ames Izaak Walton range. Are there others? Ankeny NLSI indoor range is no longer open to the public; the closest pistol target distance at Olofson is 15 yards; the Ames Ikes indoor range apparently disallows FMJ ammuntion; and I don't think putting targets on my fence in town is allowed
