Everyone advocating nuking Iran should think about just how close our own troops are to that country. Not a good idea. Right now, due to other commitments, we're a dog with no teeth. Iran *will* get The Bomb, if they don't have it already. It's time to think a couple of moves ahead instead of reacting.

Ha! That's funny. But of course they were always perfectly willing to sell us oil... it took a US invasion to knock out the pipeline from Iraq to Turkey and raise oil prices. (And it took some pretty gullible taxpayers to pay Kellogg Brown Root to NOT fix that pipeline for three years!)

I saw it coming and bought COP and Chevron right after the war started... I doubt that most of the conspiracy theorists who think Halliburton is plotting to help them did the same.

Most of Eastern Europe is doing fine with democracy. Russia and parts of the Balkens are not very democratic, and seem to be sliping back into repressive regimes.

Well there's an irony if I ever did see one, given the pretty much inevitable result of Iran "helping" with Iraq's security like they promise.

Unless you mean **** of Iraq via the Bushehr-Isfahan-Natanze-Tehran-Arak tour, of course.
