Is a minty (1954) Savage 99EG a good trade for my minty (1959) Win 70?

If that M70 is as clean and honest as it looks you would have been making a mistake.

With the exception of the fact that the original owner appears to have had the bolt jeweled, it is perfectly clean and honest. I am tempted to make a shooter out of it, though, in which case it will start to pick up some blemishes from handling and use, but it will still retain it's value better than any new gun I could buy, right?

By the way, how do you think it would effect its resale value if I had it bored out to .338-06 Ackly Improved?
