Hi all,
Yesterday, I bought an older Para Ordnance P-16 .40 cal. pistol. It is unfired and came with the original box, manual, and one standard magazine. I paid $450 for it. Did I get a decent deal or did the guy take me for a ride? He was keeping it as a collectable, but is it more appropriate as a safe queen or a shooter? Also, are there any problems or pitfalls about the gun that I should be aware of? Any info is appreciated!

It sounds like you got a good deal, my experience with the older para's have been good, and you shure have plenty of firepower there. Maybe use it for target and HD.

I had one and kind of wish I had hung onto it. Unfortunately it was very ammo sensitive - liked WWB but would not feed Federal for more than one round. So out the door it went.

I thought is was a decent gun. Definitely not a CCW piece but good for the the range and HD.
