is a Pistol grip shotgun illegal in NJ?

I'm looking at a Mossberg model with an 18.5 inch long barrel, and a 6 round magazine. I have a small lockable cabinet that this shotgun will fit in, and can get a good deal on it. I thought I read somewhere that Pistol grip shotguns are illegal in NJ?????? Thanks for the help!

The link gives you the Attorney General's guidelines. If it's not a semi-auto and has a 18" barrel and is over 26" long you should be good to go.

under section II, part C, it says "at least 2 of the following"...Pistol grip and more than 5 rounds magazine...so I'm not sure...

AFAIK, pump action PG shotguns are NJ-OK. I've seen them for sale @ NJ FFLS.

As a general rule, as long as your buying from an FFL, you're OK, because he won't sell you anything NJ-Verbotten.
